Subaru Loaner Vehicle Policy
Our loaner vehicles allow you to continue your day with minimal disruption while your vehicle is being serviced. If your vehicle must be kept overnight at a Subaru dealership for a warranty-covered condition that requires more than eight hours to repair, Subaru will provide you with a complimentary loaner vehicle for up to five days, subject to availability.
Loaner vehicles are provided during the active repair time of your vehicle only. Once repairs are completed and your vehicle is ready for pickup, we kindly ask that the loaner vehicle be returned promptly. Late returns may result in daily usage charges.
Loaner vehicles are intended for normal personal transportation only and may not be used for commercial activity, towing, racing or by unauthorized drivers.
To ensure these vehicles remain available for all of our guests, the following policies apply:
Driver Requirements:
To receive a Subaru loaner vehicle, guests must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age or older
- Present a valid driver’s license
- Provide active automobile insurance
- Provide a valid credit card for authorization
Credit Card Authorization
At the time of loaner vehicle pickup, a credit card authorization of $100.00 will be held to cover potential:
- Toll usage
- Fuel replacement
- Loaner Vehicle Availability – the driver requirements and credit card authorization still apply in these situations.
Misuse Charges:
Loaner vehicles are intended for normal, short-term transportation while your vehicle is being repaired. Excess mileage, misuse, or abnormal wear may result in additional charges.
- Excess mileage is anything over 100 miles per day.
- Vehicle misuse, including but not limited to our smoking, pet, and fueling policies
- Not returning the vehicle 24 hours after completion of repairs or at the dealer’s request
- Loaner vehicles are intended for normal, short-term transportation while your vehicle is being repaired.
Toll Policy:
All loaner vehicles have a SunPass in the vehicle; only the SunPass provided is to be used, and all applicable charges made through SunPass will be the responsibility of the contracted guest. These fees will be charged to the provided credit card
Fueling Policy:
Loaner vehicles are provided with a recorded fuel level at pickup.
- Vehicles that are returned with less fuel than at pickup may incur a refueling charge at $5.50 a gallon
Traffic and Parking Violation Policy:
All traffic, parking, and any tow violations during the usage of the loaner vehicle are the responsibility of the contracted guest as per the rental agreement.
No-Smoking Policy:
For the safety and comfort of all of our guests, we enforce a non-smoking fleet. Any loaners being returned with evidence of smoke odor, ash, burns, or residue- a cleaning and deodorization fee of $200.00 will be applied to restore the vehicle for the next guest.

*This authorization is an initial hold and is not a charge. It will only be used if applicable expenses are incurred, and is the initial minimum; if other charges are incurred, they can be charged to the card provided on file.
