Subaru XV Crosstrek

Built on the platform of the Subaru Impreza hatchback, the Subaru XV Crosstrek is the compact sport utility vehicle perfect for off-road and probably snowy and icy adventures. The Impreza sports a 5.7-inch ground clearance, while the XV Crosstrek gets 8.7 inches, which is much like regular SUVs. Suspension and transmission has been greatly improved in order to take such challenging elements on the road, which means you can rely on it for safety and getting through that mountain securely. Of course, you can expect bigger legroom and storage space at the back.

Powered by a 2.0-Liter DOHC Subaru Boxer Engine, delivering a maximum of 110 kW at 6,200 revolutions per minute and 196 N-m of torque at 4,200 revolutions per minute, the Subaru XV Crosstrek has a symmetrical all-wheel drive that gives it the handling that is typical of all Subaru cars. It also has Improved Active Valve Control System. It has 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, raised roof rails, vehicle dynamics control, and Lineartronic Continuous Variable Transmission. Suspension for the front it the MacPherson Strut Type, while the back suspension is the Double Wishbone Type. Front Brakes are Ventilated Disc, while Rear Brakes are Solid Disc.  It is very fuel efficient, so you don't have to worry about spending extra on premium gasoline just to have it disappear within a matter of miles. Cargo area is of course raised from the Subaru Impreza, so you can fit the gear for your hikes and other outdoor adventures with ease. It has a power-tilt or sliding moon roof, voice-activated GPS navigation, and a 6-speaker audio system with available SiriusXM Satellite radio.

Parts of its exterior that are noteworthy are its high intensity discharge headlamps that make it easy to see in the dark even if your tint itself is too dark for your taste. It also has fog lamps, power-folding door mirrors, roof rails to fit the gear you would take on off-road adventures, a hood deflector, front resin underguard, and a cargo resin step panel. Keyless access is one of the interior accessories, as well as the tilt-adjustable telescopic steering wheel, cruise control for your highway adventures, dual-zone automatic air-conditioning system, retractable cargo cover which is also removable with a lightweight aluminum frame, and a cargo tray. A backup camera is also available for your parking and lane-switching needs.

For safety, ring-shaped enforcement frames in high tensile steel design line the exteriors and interiors in order to distribute the impact that can come from a collision from the passengers. Height-adjustable front seatbelts with pretensioners, and whiplash-reducing front seats as well as energy-absorbing head restraints also absorb impact from a collision. Airbags are all around ? front, side, and curtain. Child safety seats are also easily incorporated into the car with the help of tether and ISO-FIX anchors. It rated 5 stars with the Euro-NCAP, which is a pretty big standard.
